Located near the heart of Santa Fe's fabled historic district, the Gerald Peters Gallery offers a captivating blend of old and new, tradition and innovation. For native Santa Fe'ans and newcomers alike, the gallery presents a rare opportunity to experience works of art of local, national and international importance in a unique southwestern setting. With a lush sculpture garden and 8,500 square feet of museum-quality exhibition space, the gallery is both expansive and intimate, as appropriate to the remarkable diversity of its offerings.

Gerald Peters founded his gallery on his love for New Mexico's rich artistic legacy - from the romantic landscapes of the Taos Society of Artists to the classic modernism of Georgia O'Keeffe. Over the years his vision has expanded to include western masters such as Fredric Remington and Charles M. Russell, the work of 20 century European and American modernists, contemporary art from home and abroad, wildlife art, and photography. The gallery is designed to complement all of these genres.

The fee's associated with the rental of the gallery do not include food or beverage. We have a list of preferred cateres that will delight your guests with their culinary offerings and can create personalized menu's for an additional charge.

The Gerald Peters Gallery is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm for business. The galleries are available after hours Monday - Saturday and all day Sunday for events. The rental fee for the Gerald Peters Gallery provides clients with the use of six galleries and a sculpture garden for the evening. Exhibition openings fall on several Friday evenings throughout the year from 5 pm - 7pm. On these evenings, the gallery is available for rental after 8:00 pm.

Security guards are required for events at the gallery and for an additional hourly fee. The number of security guards needed will be determined by the type of event and the number of attendees. Security Guards - $25.00 per hour per guard.

Cancellation Policy:

You may cancel 30 days prior to your event. Cancellations within 30 days you forfeit your $200 deposit.

Deposit Policy:

There is a $200 deposit due at the time of signing. The remaining amount is due 7 days prior to the event. Security guards are required for rental of the gallery.

Entering through the foyer with its hand-adzed beam ceiling and flagstone floor, visitors can wander through eight rooms of artwork. Measuring 80 by 30 feet, the Contemporary Gallery is the largest. With 14-foot ceilings, a room length skylight, and removable partitions, the space accommodates work ranging in scale from the monumental to the miniature.

From the foyer visitors can also enter the Western Gallery, which will likely strike many as the most distinctive venue here. With its rich cherry wood floors, pine plank ceiling, cut and pressed tin chandeliers, and a generous fireplace, it is a perfect setting for the classic western and southwestern paintings and sculpture that are at the heart of the Gerald Peters Gallery.

Adjoining the Contemporary Gallery are the 20 Century Modern galleries - two light,airy rooms that have housed exhibitions of Picasso drawings and contemporary and vintage photography. The work of Georgia O'Keeffe, Arthur Dove, Marsden Hartley, Stuart Davis, and other artists of the modern movement is regularly featured here. Across the foyer is the arched doorway of the "jewel box" room - created to highlight small groups of select pieces.

Double doors at the rear of the Naturalism Gallery open onto the Sculpture Garden. With a changing array of outdoor sculpture situated on a broad lawn bordered by terraced stonework and a graceful waterfall, it is one of the most popular spots on the premises.
